Petik Merah

When talking about the volcanic crater of Talaga Bodas Mountain it certainly cannot be separated from its natural beauty, but there is something interesting in this phenomenon, namely the natural resource “Talaga Bodas coffee” which has been grown in the area since 2010. With an area of 50-80 hectares in forested land this coffee is cultivated in the volcanic craters of the Talaga Bodas area. Re atively new but has its own character and characteris-“tics.

With the effort and perseverance of the farmers, which number between 15-20 coffee farmers, on average, they are able to produce 3 tons of green beans per year, using the intercropping method. Farmers use the land to cultivate coffee and other horticultural crops, the hilly contours of the land surrounded by pine trees, flowers and eucalyptus become protective barrier of standing trees for the coffee plantations themselves. Farmers in the Talaga Bodas Volcanic area apply a sustainable agricultural system so that farmers can also take advantage of while preserving nature in harmony
